I know nothing about tea. Or so I'm told.
I have a passion for tea. I visit a tea shop everywhere I travel, and usually bring home a quarter pound of something delicious that I just couldn’t be without. Well that I could be without but where’s the fun in that?
I thought I was well informed about tea. I know what temperature to steep different teas at to get the best taste, roughly how long to steep before the tea gets bitter, and as I mentioned previously, have a clear passion for a well-brewed cup and an appreciation for the variety of tea out there.
After one session with the tea-guru, Kenny, at Vital Tealeaf in San Francisco's Chinatown I discovered I know nothing about tea. Well less that I discovered it and more that Kenny told me right to my face. He's straight forward like that.
